KARACHI: A special anti-terrorism
court inside Central Ja
il, Karachi rejected on Friday a petition to move th
e case pertaining to the murder of Intezar Ahmed to a sessions
court.
Th
e suspects in th
e case had submitted the petition and also requested the
court to remove Anti Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) SHO Tariq Mehmood’s name from th
e case.
The
court has rejected both petitions.
Intezar was killed on the 13th of January when ACLC offi
cials fired at his vehicle on Khayaban-e-Ittehad in Karachi.
The hearing of th
e case has been adjourned till the 9th of May.
