f has said that provision of quality essential items on fixed rates should be ensured duri
ng Ramazan.
Presiding over a meeting to review arrangements being made to set up R
amazan bazaars and fair price shops, the chief minister said that he would personally supervise the measures being taken for provision of relief to t
he people duri
ng Ramazan.
Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said that the Punjab government was evolving a comprehensive programme to provide relief to t
he people in R
amazan under which more than 300 R
amazan bazaars woul
d be set up across the province. He said that 27 model bazaars would also work as R
amazan bazaars.
Shahbaz said that provision of edibles to t
he people at affordable rates was responsibility of departments concerned, and no effort shoul
d be spared in this regard. He said that indiscriminate action would be taken against hoarders and profiteers.
He said that there should be no shortage of fruits, vegetables and pulses duri
ng Ramazan and directed departments concerned to evolve a comprehensive mechanism in this regard. He directed officials concerned to display prices of edible items on digital boards.
The chief minister also directed to constitute price control committees at district level, which would be presided over by the Lahore mayor and Lahore Division commissioner jointly.
Present at the meeting were Bilal Yaseen, Sheikh Allauddin, Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, Naeem Akhter Bhabha, Malik Afzal Khokar, Taufeeq Butt, chief secretary, additional chief secretary (Home), acting IG police, commissioner, mayor, secretaries and other high-ups of departments concerned.

he people of Turkey on “splendid” success of Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the referendum.
